@jasonnyc When I started ADT (*) in late 2022 a nurse practioner mentioned that Calcium Citrate is recommened IF you take stomach acid reducers such as Zantac, Priosec, Nexium, etc.

Otherwise, any type of Calcium Carbonate can be used.

(*) I've been on Firmagon (Degarelix) and Nubeqa (Darolutamide) for stage 4 CSPC since late 2022.

@rlplaut - In addition to my comment (above) about Calcium Citrate, I feel I should mention two other vitamins to take for healthy bones during ADT:

1. Magnesium Glycinate, and
2. Vitamin D3

These three vitamins (Calcium Citrate, D3, and Magnisium Glycinate) have not been mentioned to me by my doctors. Rather, this advice was offered to me by both Nurse Practioners and Physician Assistants.

Of course physical exercise (fast walking, push ups, etc.) and moderate weight training help as well. No matter how tired I feel when starting to exercise, I always feel better having done it.
