Hello @colleenyoung, thank you for moving my message to the Sarcoma group.
Yes, I had surgery and chemotherapy for osteosarcoma, which was completed
in 2025. A straight rod was implanted in my leg, which prevents me from
bending my knee. My doctors have told me that I am cancer-free now, and
they suggested a revision surgery with artificial knee joint replacement
(megaprosthesis) to restore mobility.
I would like to connect with others who have undergone similar revision or
megaprosthesis surgeries.

Experience with Knee Megaprosthesis after Osteosarcoma

I am reaching out to connect with others who may have gone through a
similar journey.

I was diagnosed with osteosarcoma and completed surgery and chemotherapy in
2025. A straight rod was implanted in my leg, which means I cannot bend my
knee. Thankfully, my doctors have confirmed that I am now cancer-free.

Recently, they suggested a revision surgery with an artificial knee joint
