@weinham007 About 1/2 of the people I know who tried the SCS had it work in the trial but not with the permanent one. The one thing they had in common was their leads for the trial were taken out and replaced with new leads. There is a lot of speculation that, perhaps, the new leads were not placed exactly where the old ones were. It could be other factors, but no one knows for certain. I was fortunate that my permanent SCS, the Nevro HF10, worked well. When I awakened from having it replaced 5+ years later with the HFX, I knew I hit jackpot. It is great in blocking my pain but, 2 weeks in, I was experiencing charging problem. Turns out I have impedance on one connector so I can't get an MRI, and I've really needed one. The rep was able to isolate the problem and use the opposite electrode, but that didn't satisfy the MRI issue. Fortunately, a doc gave me a work-around test that satisfied my diagnostic need for an MRI. If my SCS didn't work I'd have it removed, because you never know when it could present a problem. I agree about the reps. I'm on my 4th one in 8 years, haven't met him yet. By the time they get to know you they are gone! Best wishes getting pain relief!

I had spinal cord stimulator implanted about 10 years ago. Three times. And it never worked. Mine was by Medtronics for uinary incontinence. Don’t know if that makes any difference. Hope you have better luck with yours.
