Osteoporosis has become very complicated to treat I have found. I’m 55 and have recently moved from osteopenia to osteoporosis (likely because of a catastrophic injury when I was 17 requiring 6 months of traction and bed rest along with extremely high doses of steroids). I live in Annapolis, with many endocrinologists that specialize in osteoporosis. Despite this, I am choosing to go to the John’s Hopkins osteoporosis center. Studies seem to be changing the algorithms quickly, I want to be very sure I am getting the best recs out there.

I had looked at their program briefly. I live in NC but I am traveling to Baltimore for another procedure. Is there someone you can recommend if I decide to try one of their endocrinologists. Thanks. And please share your experiences there if you are willing.
