My water arobics teacher does Eastern medicine and suggested i try this for my muscle and joint pain inflammation....1 tsp of ground ginger, juice of a 1/2 of a fresh lemon, squirt of honey in a glass of water...this has really helped me..every morning! Maybe it will help you too...

High doses of ginger can result in diarrhea or gastrointestinal discomfort.
Ginger causes problems if you have gallstones and interact with certain medications, such as blood thinners and diabetes drugs. Ginger itself is a blood thinner. Can you try it every other day?
Excessive consumption can cause mouth irritation or a burning sensation. I put some ginger in food I prepare but smaller amounts. I walk in the house 3 X daily, 15 or close to it per set.
