Hi, @ashum1. Welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. You'll note I moved your post here to an existing discussion on diverticulitis treatment so you could meet members such as @kendra1129
@rosemaryhow @donna2023 @alh4 and others. I'd also like to introduce you to @jlharsh. I believe some of them will have input on how to take Amoxicillin/Clavulanic acid (Augmentin).
When were you diagnosed, @ashum1? What symptoms were you experiencing prior to your diagnosis?

One evening, about 2 weeks ago, I had a slight low back ache, then at 3am I woke up to entire abdominal cramping pain. It blossomed into a rate of 10/10. I went to ER, had a cat scan, was told probable gastroenteritis. No fever, diarrhea, constipation, or nausea. One week later the pain returned 5/10. Had a Cat scan of abdomen & pelvis, with oral barium, IV contrast, & without Infusion. Pain remained on/off, mostly left lower.
