@valleygirl1955: I sure sympathize with the piriformis butt/hip pain. Do you also suffer from sciatica?
I don’t know if this will help you, but when I suffered a friend suggested arch supports for my shoes! Walmart carries a support for about $20 that corrected my problems in a couple days! It is a white, hard plastic with a soft spot in the center. I can’t remember the name. If you goggle WM arch supports you should identify.
It corrected my back problem!

I do have sciatica and curvature of the spine and degenerative discomfort disease. I have purchased and tired many different arch supports but none of them completely solve the problem. I do know that if I wear shoes without a good arch support; I suffer even more. Good shoes are a must for me!
