Good morning! A fellow colon cancer celebrity!!!!!! Yes, that’s what I decided I am; therefore, all you colon re-sectioners/treatment patients are too. Thank you for sharing what you do. I drink a lot of fluids and exercise daily also. It’s been 5 months for me. Resection, cancerous polyps removed, went home with a bacterial infection, diagnosed after showing symptoms. I kind think that we may parallel each other. That 5-6 week recovery, not happening . I think most of us figured that out along the way. I did when I joined. Others were open and shared their stories. Why, I reached out. Tummy hurt? Sore? Open surgery.? My incision 20+ inches long. Cut through the abdominal wall/muscle. So. It maybe some of that. Or gas? I started taking gas pills after a few months (not now) and included a probiotic (oral, pill form). Although, you can eat foods that contain the good bacteria loss from antibiotic use. I figured it took some time to grow the cancer, so it would take some time for our bodies to recovery and adjust. If it was me, and I felt that the pain was not explainable, I probably would reach out to my doctor. I am not a doctor, so there may be other members that can address differently. For me, it was more of a exercise in elimination of what/where the pain came from. Then, I could address the pain properly. Welcome, new colon cancer celebrity😀
