I have cervical dystonia also. Mine is secondary to large nexk surgery. Botox works well but i also had a large soaking tub installed. I use it every day with epson salt and it works great! If thumis ia not feasible for you tou coukd try alternating heat and ice (20 minutes every 2 hours as able) i also find lting down a few times a day really helped. The neck muscles hold up the head which is heavy (i think like 11 pounds). So lying down gives these muscles a well deserved break

Lying down is the best. I have not tried the hot /cold combination I just massage my neck with arnica /voltaren gel. It's the headaches at night they wake me up that are the worst!
