@SusanEllen66 Simply pull out a piece of paper, or journal, or notebook, and a writing instrument of your choice. And start writing! You can put down your thoughts, or wishes, of whatever comes into your head. Describe what is going on around you. Talk to yourself about concerns you have. There is no "right" way to write. You do what makes you feel comfortable. There are many books out on the market that you might find useful to help you get started. I particularly like the ones by Julia Cameron, who wrote The Artist's Way.

Also here is a conversation you could look at here on Mayo Clinic Connect: https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/journaling-the-write-stuff-for-you/
@ginnysnow, this might be a good conversation for you, also!
