It wasn’t immediate for me but increased over time. I tried several types of statins and my pain persisted and kept getting worse. It took two years for doctors to take me seriously that my quality of life was severely limited. Finally, I was given permission to quit. Again, it was not an immediate improvement but I slowly got my life back. Some people have no problems.
