So sorry to hear you're in the same terrible place I am.
The latest thing I am now trying is The Bowen technique--a different form of massage therapy I discovered on a "Failed TKR Facebook Website" --if it helps, I'll post it.

@pradke
I did find that the massaging of the quads that my PT therapist did at the end of each PT session was very helpful. I started PT in the third week and that week I told my therapist, who was massaging my quads at the time, that I had challenged my surgeon to get me back on the golf course by the end of four weeks. He then said "Okay" and dug in. We had a nice discussion of what it was like for him to train as an acolyte under the Marquis de Sade. But it helped and I was back on the golf course on the 27th day after my surgery.

I have thought about just going to a massage place but have held back in part because I have severe arthritis and stenosis and don't want to do anything that might invoke my stenosis.
