Scar tissue after knee replacement

Posted by lorag @lorag, Sep 15 4:44pm

Had total knee replacement 4 months ago. Needed manual manipulation, and am now this week having it scoped because of excessive scar tissue. Anyone else have this happen? I am so afraid the scar tissue will come right back! I followed doc orders and therapy. Any supplements so my body doesn’t form this so quickly?

It seems counterintuitive to have a surgery to remove scar tissue since surgery causes scar tissue. You might look into The McLaughlin Scar Tissue Release Technique, then find a practitioner who has extensive experience. I had a 40 year old scar that my Bowen Therapist who is trained in the above referenced scar tissue release get rid of the scar and she also made a really ugly anterior hip replacement scar all but disappear. Best Wishes
