carotid endarterectomy neck numbness

I am grateful to be 4 weeks out from an endarterectomy. The surgery went well, thanks to my phenomenal surgeon; however, I have pain and pressure in my neck and head. I am also not able to sleep for more than 4 or 5 hours, and I hardly ever feel sleepy. It's like my nerves are all jazzed up. I'm wondering if anyone has had similar post-op symptoms, and if so how long does full recovery take?

I sound very similar, April 2025 had an endarterectomy, healing well but the numbness from mid left earlobe and along the jawline is just now starting to lose the numbness which is what I expected, the surgeon indicated 6 to 12 months to heal. Along with this healing, I am also not sleeping well and both of my legs feel a bit uncontrolled, jelly like. I would be keen to hear if anyone else has the same or similar symptoms. Thank you ❤️
