Hi, My first comment here. I am with autism and with multiple cancers (double mastectomy and melanoma) and possible others. I am the patient; my spouse has cardiac issues and suffered a massive stroke killing three parts of his brain. Just reading here helps. I don't know what to do with the autism and tight focus on some areas with avoidance of others I can't handle. We don't qualify for any government help; here struggling alone. Some days are extremely difficult.

@myrlasofia I am so sorry to know, what you are up against. My son has Autism and I have Cancer. We both are struggling in the same way, as my 81 yr old husband had an Open Heart surgery and there is no one to help us. We don't qualify for Medicaid, but we both are on Medicare.
Now I am hospitalized for cancer pain, diarrhea and severe leg pain that I cannot walk at all. I had Spinal injection and the pain is still thee.
My son was told, We would have a special Easter dinner and as a nonverbal kid, he must be wondering why his mother wouldn't. I have to be in a Rehab to get better to see him.
I understand what you are going thru. Are you registered with Individual Service Coordination Agency in your state? They are the ones, who can find programs suitable for your child w Autism and Cancer.
Good luck yet you. Hang in there!
Things often get worst, before they get better. You are a great parent.
Love,
VJ
