Here is an update regarding the discussions I have had with my family: I had called my son who does not live close to me about another matter and he brought up my MSA and asked me how am I feeling. He asked several questions about this condition and what it meant to him knowing his mother has this. He was so honest and mature about it that I felt such relief in telling my family about my MSA. I am still under a lot of stress and anxiety because I haven't completely come to terms as well as my family has. But support is key to getting by day to day life. I have learned that due to my family standing by my side, I think I can conquer anything! Our family's dear close friend flew down to spend a week with us. I told him about my condition. Not only did he give me all the support I could have ever asked for, he told me his father had Parkinson's and lived for 30 years!! What hope did that give me!!

I so appreciate your update, @ripley77. It sounds like you are being surrounded by a great support system. That must give you confidence.

How are you feeling? Are you involved with any treatments or therapies?
