Steroid injections while on Prolia/Jubbonti
Has anyone been in the situation where they had a Prolia or Jubbonti shot and a month later needed steroid shots in their hip or back? I read that it increases your risk of infection. Just wondering if anyone else has been in this predicament. After a month, 50% of the denosumab (Prolia or Jubbonti) is still in your system. I have airline tickets for a trip planned 6 months ago, otherwise I would wait longer than one month after my last injection.

He is incorrect. Epidurals do not enter the blood stream as regular steroid shots and worse are the tablets.
@stress101, would you mind telling me your doctor's name. I am in Austin, and might wind up looking for help elsewhere in Texas. Also, would you mind telling me a bit about your condition? I have severe lumbar stenosis and am curious about the transforaminal injections and whether they have helped you.
BTW, I was told that injections could affect bone in the immediate area if they are given frequently and at high doses (though I have no idea how to define "frequent" or "high dose"). But the bottom line is that they apparently don't affect bones systemically the way oral steroids do.
