I strongly recommend joining this SIBO support group on facebook: "SIBO SOS community" (I'm not allowed to post URLS here, sorry). The group files have TONS of resources (testing, treatment, diet, lectures, etc.). Whenever you post a question, there'll be answers. There are also info on alternative herbal antimicrobials for treating SIBO for those who cannot afford Xifaxan.
In the group files there's a list of naturopathic doctors specialized in SIBO. Honestly they know more than the main stream MDs about SIBO. SIBO is a secondary condition, which has a underlying cause (like food poisoning, dysbiosis, low stomach acid...). You have to identify and treat the root cause to prevent SIBO from coming back.
Also this website, developed by SIBO expert Allison Siebecker, is super helpful as well:siboinfo.com
