Has anyone found a treatment that helps with peripheral neuropathy?
I suspect that everyone on this forum has been searching for a medication that helps their neuropathy and even though you no that all the internet claims are false we continue to waste hundreds of pounds. Desperation is a powerful force. Has any one been fortunate enough to find a genuine treatment. I just can’t believe that there are so many awful people who prey on our vulnerability and knowingly orchestrate such elaborate scams.

I recently purchased chelated magnesium glycinate from Amazon and started taking it three days ago, just 2 pills a day one in the morning and 1 at night and they have relieved my neuropathy when I go to bed at night for the last three nights. It only cost $16.37 for 240 tablets. I am 83 years old and my neuropathy is primarily in my feet probably mild compared to some, but it has helped me a lot.
I've been helped dramatically by eliminating dairy. I'm already gluten free, low FODMAP , very low fructose, no tomatoes.... NO dairy mostly stoped my neuropathy, especially in my feet.
SCTOCH on the rocks.
What type of neuropathy do you have?
I find that the Mama Bear cream does help my legs. It seems to eliminate the "tight" feeling in the lower legs and feet. If I fail to appy to bedtime, I can guarantee that I will not sleep soudly. I am not diaetic nor do I have pain. Just numbness and a feeling of tightness in the lower extremities. I have had ideopathic neuropathy for about 25 years,
I am interested in experience and knowledge of stem cell therapy to cure peripheral neuropathy.
Mine was diagnosed a year ago as alcholic PN. I immediately stop drinking alcohol.
Now i am exploring if Stem Cell Therapy will help by curing my PN.
I would like to hear from others. I have been reading of clinics in various other counties where there are clinics.
@lvgal LV, I’m trying that, too. I can’t decide if it’s the cream or the Advil that helps. I do sleep better and my feet feel better. I’ll stop the Advil today and see what the results are.
Red Light Therapy - full body medical grade fda cleared machines. I pay $159/month for up to 20 sessions a month with before and after hour access to the facility. I also use their vibration plate due to the studies I've read that show significant improvement in pain (all participants had DIABETIC NEUROPATHY but it should have the same result for any type of neuropathy. Also Power Plate has several studies on POWER PLATE use and neuropathy.
LOTS of alternatives to drugs but you must do your research. At first I was going every day (for Infraredlight sessions) until I learned that too often can be counter productive. So now I go every OTHER day - a full 36-48 hours between sessions and it's made a difference.
if you have specific questions you can ask me.
@cit10jetjockey several legit studies prove that there is relief from pain via FULL BODY RED LIGHT therapy and also vibration plates in a very specific way, length and number of minutes.
Power Plate seems to be the best vibration for neuropathy.
I''ve done 28 sessions of full body infrared and nearinfrared sessions at LIGHTLOUNGE (the one near me but there are facilities in many cities and states and you can find one near you perhaps: http://www.lightlounge.life.
My doctor told me there was no cure just treatment and of course the dreaded prescription meds that I simply WILL NOT TAKE NO MATTER WHAT..
I now have many hours with no pain and even full days with no pain. I did a lot of research and have found that an every other day schedule works well for me.
Lightlounge has a charter member program that gives you access before or after hours as well as during the staffed hours. I LOVE going at those times. I let myself in with the door lock app. I check myself in. go to the assigned room, lock the door, remove all my clothes (your skin needs direct contact with the lights. Select my program from all the ones available (I started with just the inflammation program for about 6 weeks because inflammation is at the root of most things that go wrong in our bodies! and now I just do the program for neuropathy) I Put on my little protective eye covers because the neuropathy program includes a strobe/flashing light session that addresses certain aspects.
Studies have also shown that red light therapy has caused the beginning of nerve repair and even regeneration.
It also helps your skin and may even help with hair growth and sleep.
I can comfortably say that after nearly 30 sessions I highly recommend it IF YOU DO YOUR RESEARCH and CAREFULLY SELECT your sessions using the no sooner than 24 hours after your last one and preferably 48 to 72 hours. Your cells need time to process the sessions, like muscles need time to process after a weight lifting session. If you go to the gym and do your legs you don't do legs the next day. You wait at least 3 or 4 days before doing legs again if you want to see muscle improvement. Same with red light and your cells. My improvement has increased since I started the every other day routine.
You can private message me if you have questions.

There is an excellent interview regarding stem cells with Joe Rogan and Mel Gibson and Dr. Neil Riordan. There is also a book that is free if you have Amazon prime by Dr. Riordan. The clinic is in Panama. I was all excited and ready to pay the $27,000 to get the stem cells. I spoke to a very honest doctor from there this morning and she told me they have not seen improvement with peripheral neuropathy.
