Well , I've been on it for less than a year. I had a hernia operation and I thought I had a significant side effect from that which I brought up with my urologist just yesterday. Who proceeded to inform.me that what I had experienced was a known side effect from the Dutasreride.
Some time ago. I noticed that my erect penis was not as big as I was used to.( Normally my solid erection. Pressed against my cell phone showed about 1/4" above the top of my phone) it was at least 1/4" BELOW the edge of my phone! So at least 1/2 " shorter! So I took a good look at my non erect penis ( flaccid)that too was smaller! In fact almost child like.!
The urination problem has certainly improved with the medication. But it certainly is a significant side effect. My Dr explained that the drug causes the prostate tissue d ur to shrink ..and also the penis..soft & hard! Somewhat embarrassing in a public shower situation.
I don't have a partner..but nevertheless I still indulge in and enjoy masturbation..and I do miss the length and girth of my normal penis. I also notice that erections are not so easy to stimulate and are less solid in nature..less firm!
Unfortunatly I think i have to accept it but I had a 6.5 " erection it is less than 6" about 5.5" now..I hope it does not continue to shrink.
