PAIN-Laminectomy for Synovial Cyst Removal

Hi, I’m just wondering how you are doing with recovery? I had a first appt with a spine specialist as a synovial cyst was found in my L5/L6 and I am in excruciating pain and I think will hv to undergo surgery.

I actually started feeling better after 10 days. I felt so good after 2 weeks that I started doing too much at the gym and believe I pulled something or stretched a nerve on the left side doing hamstring curls. I’m at 5 weeks now and my back feels great, but my left glute has severe
pain when I sit or turn over in bed. I can walk for an hour uphill at this point with very little pain. I see my surgeon in a week and will get an update, but I really think I did this myself and am not sure if it is related to the back at all.
