Good afternoon! I could have written the first two paragraphs verbatim and actually looked to see if I had.

I went to see a periodontist after my dentist dx me. She recommended I dab Clobetasol Propionate ointment, 0.05%, on my gum line with a cotton swab for two weeks. It did help relieve some of the inflammation but only slightly. The dermatologist agreed with this tx. I also use red light therapy and Closys mouthwash. It is much more gentle and doesn’t burn. The dermatologist agreed also prescribed lidocaine gel for when the pain needs stronger treatment. I also use several things for dry mouth. None of this has fixed the problem but has calmed it down 25%-50%. Yesterday I saw my dentist for an unrelated issue. She strongly suggested I go see a functional medicine provider. She wonders if I have metal allergies from my caps. I do have nickel allergy. I will follow up with the providers she recommended. I don’t feel like I’ve made much progress over the past year. The pockets around my teeth are getting very deep. Not sure what else to do, just like you.

Feel your pain! I m getting ready for full mouth implants and they said it that will probably help the OLP. I have lost most of my teeth from breast cancer radiation.
