I know how you feel. I'm 77 and my most recent MAC infection was five years ago. I spent a lot of time resenting the demands and the insults of airway clearance. How embarrassing and unpleasant it was to me to have to sit with this loud machine and a tube in my my mouth and be bored out of my mind, and then have to try unsuccessfully to bring up mucous by uncomfortable coughing. This forum helped me to see the value in keeping my lungs as clear and showed me many different ways to skin the cat. I now try to use my nebulizing time by reading a good book, listening to podcasts or watching watercolor painting tutorials. Do I wish I didn't have to do this? You bet. But as my mom used to say, "If wishes were horses . . . "

Interesting response And really addresses the question directly
Thank you for your thoughts
Coincidentally my Pulmo just agreed to try me on the new treatment. I hope I can handle it.
I feel the same way about life. In fact the idea of masking in public is very Repugnant except on airplanes.
With the years that I may have left, I want to live life fully and immerse myself and social interaction and travel
Are you still doing airway clearance twice today? That alone is exhausting?
Why did your doctor say you only have three years on what was that predicated? Thank you so much for your reply Jill

Love the idea of the painting tutorials
I do try and distract myself, but dealing with the aerobic for me is absolutely the hardest because I have to try so hard to get the mucus up I do six rounds of 10 along with Huffs
It’s very hard for me to bring up mucus as well unless I’m about to get an exacerbation
