Long Covid since Nov 2020. After 4 1/2 years of phlegm in throat, I had an unrelated infection, was given a steroid shot and a prescription for arythromycin(sp) and the unrelated infection and phlegm is gone! The phlegm has remained gone for a couple of months. I’m waiting for it to come back but so far so good. Thanks to Dr. Jordan Vaughn of Birmingham’s treatment, and the grace of God, I’m on my way to 100% back to my old self.

After 4-1/2 years of Long Covid, I’ve been seeing Dr. Jordan Vaughn since June and had significant improvement in certain symptoms, including phlegm in my throat and a constant runny nose. He diagnosed me with Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS) and prescribed Pioglitazone 15 mg, which really helps. No more phlegm, and the runny nose is much better. Before seeing Dr. Vaughn, I’d seen a well-respected ENT. He treated me for a year for chronic sinus infection, hoping that clearing up the infection would get rid of the runny nose. It didn’t. Finally, he performed a nasal ablation, which helped for a few months, but then right back to the constant runny nose. Dr. Vaughn has also helped me with fatigue, body aches, and headaches. We’re still working on brain fog and anxiety, but I’m thrilled with my progress so far.
