After battling acid reflux for years the best diet I've found is Paleo. I cannot eat fruit which is part of the diet and after cutting out fruit my whole system changed in a few days. I don't avoid the "acid foods" but I do know the foods to avoid since I have a very bad reaction to them. If your on PPI's it takes several months to wean off them or you'll have rebound and never find out what foods bother you. Wean off the PPI's, most doctors don't agree with this and think they are fine but they have many side effects. Only supposed to be taken for 14 days, I was on them for 19 years. Very hard to get off them. Even after LINX surgery I still had to take Zantac twice a day until I changed mt diet, now I don't take anything! Try Paleo,

I have silent reflux so never got heartburn. Apparently I just got pain in upper right quadrant of my stomach. The pain was from acid from stomach damaging my esophagus. After many tests found a large ulcer and Barrett's esophagus. So now am on Prilosec till it's healed. Seems I have to watch what I eat also. I love salads but for a while have to avoid raw foods. So unfair. What supplements helped you the most? I take vitamin d b complex magnesium probiotics turmeric and coq10 and fish oil. Am I missing something. Oh I also take a thyroid supplement that has zinc iodine and selenium. I am gluten and dairy free but it seemed to make no difference in my digestive issues. I have gas and bloating all the time. Constipation too. Any suggestions would be so welcome. Thankyou
