Paleo!
My gastro put me on the FODMAP diet, however, I can't swear by it. I am still having issues after meds, so anyone on here might have a different one to try.
What probiotic are you taking? I was taking Align, as recommended by my Mayo gastro doctor, but begin having some signs of bacteria overgrowth again. I switched probiotics to Hyperbiotics Pro-15 with 15 billion CFU-15 strains (bought it at Target). I felt better one day later, and have had no more symptoms since I've been taking it.
Thanks, I will have to go by Target and get it. Do you happen to know the cost?
It was $27-$28 for 30 tablets. The maintenance dosage is 1 tablet/day. Intensive treatment is up to 3 tablets/day. I started with one, and that seems to work for me. Hope it brings you some relief.
ANYTHING is worth trying at this point. I am on day 12 of being drained and dizzy. I believe my vitamins are totally depleted. The pro-bio I am trying to really harsh (small white tablets that are hard to swallow). I am on the 14 day challenge with Activia, but soon want to start maintenance tablets. Thanks for sharing. BTW, Herb.com had a better deal.
Please don't eat activa, worthless and full of sugar!
Try eating Fage Greek Yogurt, plain Total or 2%. It is very good tasting. If you want it sweetened a little, add a packet of Splenda or fruit if that is in your diet. It's real yogurt, has the probiotic strains, and not junk like Activia.
Took xifaxan 2 months ago for breath test confirmed sibo. It has returned... not sure about diet requirements or if probiotics help or hurt... am losing weight again and getting depressed... what is the best diet?
