Hi, @doyle78 - much earlier in this same discussion on vedolizumab (Entyvio) and hair loss, a moderator posted this study, which seems to point to the disease as the culprit in hair loss:

- Frequency and associated factors of hair loss among patients with inflammatory bowel disease https://www.wjgnet.com/1007-9327/full/v21/i1/229.htm?appgw_azwaf_jsc=j_aG-Yy17Ws1KrPH_2BKEoviqDav7vTPjKxEuQ9zxJ4

Yes, I saw that and have read that on other sites, however, I’ve been diagnosed with UC for ten years, on mesalamine for about five, and have never had an issue with hair loss until I began the Entyvio, just like the post that I was responding to. I understand that hair loss is associated with IBD and mesalamine and is not a recognized side effect of Entvio but these posts indicate that it does happen. Now it may not have been a side effect discovered in the study or the occurrences were so rare that it was not a requirement to list hair loss as a side effect, but to me, it is the only thing that I did differently and seeing that others have had the same experience validates my experience.
I appreciate your response and look forward to any other people having a similar experience. Thank you!
