I don't know if this helps or not. My husband was diagnosed in Feb, his only symptom was peeing frequently and ED but a pill would work usually (we've had a lot of stress the year before that) anyways his PSA came back almost 300! then pelvic scan showed it outside prostate, urologist did a biopsy and most where 7-9! (the two numbers added together) Oncologist wanted him to start on Firmagon and my husband refused at first- long story, but started it, in the meantime he changed his diet and lost some weight, the oncologist ordered a PSMA PET scan and the results showed, numerous in lungs, lymph nodes both down near prostate and in the neck, pelvis, bones, spines and I don't remember where else, sounded like he lit up like a Christmas tree!
He secretly took a bunch of supplements that wrecked his liver (blood test showed) once that was all normal he started Zytiga and Prednisone and finally after a while he started Chemo, he's about get his 6th and last dosage next week.
The weakness and tiredness has been from the ADT Shot, Zytiga made it worse and Chemo gets him tired and achy for a week or so.
Otherwise he's doing pretty well, he eats fine (pretty strict diet) but maintains his weight or even gained a pound or two because he added clean carbs back in, like rice....He goes to the gym almost daily and we walk the dog every morning. Usually in the afternoon he's tired and I sit on the couch and rub his head while he sort of naps..... People and doctors say he looks great! Meanwhile we're both thinking we have to get our affairs in order and I dread being a widow with 2 kids still at home! (plus one young adult who's on her way out)
We were told 30% make it 5 years but most likely my husband will be longer because he's only 55 and had nothing else wrong and he eats right and exercises! It's such a mind game too!! We know God is refining us, but gosh, I'm kicking and screaming thru it all!

Thanks for your note. You are right - this is a challenging mind game. Best of luck.
