Take this as you may, I believe surgeons do their best work in the operating room, endocrinologists are ‘medication’ doctors. Did you ask the surgeons why they thought medications were poison? If you are talking about biphosphonates or other bone strengthening therapies, they are very mainstream and considered “the gold standard “ of care.

I wonder why two different surgeons would be so openly dismissive…

I do not understand either, but this are 2 great surgeons spine and hip so I thought their opinion would be very valuable since this is what they fix. but I did go to and endocrinologist and i am waiting on blood work and urine tests to see if there is a cause for the bone lose . thank you . but i am very scared of the side effects of all of the medicines.

Maybe because they have had to fix the damage caused by patients being on Fosamax too many years. Some pharmacists share their opinion.

I met an orthopedic surgeon at a wedding and he said the medicine fills up the holes but makes your bones more brittle. Poor quality. This is do the fact the medicine interferes with natural remodeling/formation of bone. I mean he fixes fractures all day long so he should know.
