Hello Support Group Members,
A reminder that our next meeting is Wednesday, July 10, at noon in Baldwin 1-507. Our speaker will be Dr. David Woodrum, an interventional radiologist and Associate Professor at Mayo Clinic. His practice includes treatment of prostate cancer using Focal Therapy. The title is his talk is "MRI-guided focused ultrasound focal therapy."

Dear Support Group Members,
Our next meeting will be held at noon (CDT) on Wednesday September 10 in Baldwin 1-507. Our speaker will be Geoffrey Johnson, MD, PhD, Head of Mayo Clinic Nuclear Medicine. Dr. Johnson will present "Update on Pluvicto/PSMA Therapy." Pluvicto is a radioactive drug used to treat PSMA-positive metastatic castration resistent prostate cancer in men already treated with hormone therapy or hormone therapy and chemotherapy.

Dear Support Group Members,
Our next Prostate Cancer Support Group meeting will be held at noon ( 12 pm CDT) on Wednesday October 8 in Baldwin 1-507. Our speaker will be Jacob Orme, MD, PhD. He will bring us up to date on use of biomarkers in prostate cancer diagnosis and therapy. The title of his talk is: "The Map is Not the Territory: Using Biomarkers for Fun and Profit." Dr. Orme has spoken to the support group on several occasions and is one our most popular speakers. Bring your questions for an enlightening conversation after his talk.

Dear Support Group Members,
Our next meeting will be held at noon (CDT) on Wednesday November 12 in Baldwin 1-507. Our speaker will be Dr. Morgan Miller, APRN, C.N.P., D.N.P., a Nurse Practitioner in Medical Oncology at Mayo Clinic specializing in GI Malignancies, Neuroendocrine Tumors, and Integrative Oncology, including cannabis consults. She obtained her Doctorate degree in May 2020 from Augsburg University in Minneapolis; her doctoral project was, "Provider Education on Medical Cannabis." Dr. Miller will present "Cannabis Updates: Prostate Cancer Survivorship Review."
