Question for the group. My RARP was non nerve sparing, 10/23, so ED is permanent. I’ve been in a pretty much sexless marriage since way before surgery so the non nerve sparing part was just kind of the final nail in the coffin. Since my prostatectomy almost two years ago I’ve come to grips that this is just my life and I’m good with that. I love my wife dearly and she loves me. Physical intimacy just isn’t in the cards for us and masturbation, which once held some allure, is pretty pointless. At this point I’m not interested in trimix or inserts or pills or pursuing a sexual life that is dead and gone. So, my question is this. Apart from all sexual considerations, and given the reality of permanent ED, does a VED provide any physiological penis health benefits? I’m particularly thinking about shrinkage and turtleing or hidden penis and tissue health. After my RARP I bought a VED (Erecaide manual) but haven’t used it in several months. I’m not thinking about the use of constriction rings. Just in and out blood flow. Pump up. Deflate. Like push ups. It’s been hard to find any information for us non nerve sparing guys.

Have you tried Trimix? People who have had all nerves removed have been able to get significant erections with Trimix or even Bimix. Speak to your urologist about this.

After my RARP, with no nerve sparing, I was able to get fairly good erections with a pump and was able to climax, Though it wasn’t stiff enough for intercourse. Even without any erection at all, rubbing the right spot on the penis can get a very significant climax, though my wife did help when doing it. ADT ended that experience.
