Hello, sorry to hear about your twitches. Mine started in an unusual way. I guess this stuff is all unusual anyways about two years ago. I was getting tingling and pain in my upper back went to my doctor. He wasn’t there. I had to deal with a nurse practitioner. He prescribed that I take a muscle relaxer and went home and took it. I was pins and needles from head to toe in 15 minutes went back the next day to see him again it’s like he didn’t believe me ended up in the emergency room for four days cause they thought I had a stroke which I did not for the next four days I had waves going up and down my body from my toes to my head like somebody running a finger down piano keys back-and-forth very disturbing then that kind of subsided. My legs felt like somebody was pouring battery acid down the inside of them and saw a neurologist at a local hospital. He gave me an EMG test everything to seem to be normal He said that he thought I small fiber neuropathy did a couple of punch biopsy tests they came back normal put me on gabapentin then I didn’t like it wasn’t doing anything for me. By the way this was very debilitating then I got an appointment at Mass general with the neurologist took me seven months they examined me. they said what I had was benign if they were living in my body, they wouldn’t be saying that I told him about the muscle relaxes. They said oh that can’t cause that all I know is that I didn’t have that severe reaction before I took it and I had a severe reaction after I took it. Maybe this was coming and it just sped it up who knows when I first came down with this curse I could only walk about 200 feet and then have to come back home and lay on the couch the rest of the day every day I went a little further little further took me six months so I could walk a mile then I could go 3 miles and I could ride my bicycle a couple of miles and walk a couple of miles kept pushing myself anyways I won’t continue about the symptoms. It’s too time-consuming, but I ended up with that twitching about six months after this happened to me I twitch from head to toe randomly kinda like what you described I thought about ALS, but there’s nothing you can do about it so I just keep exercising my diet is superb. I lost 40 pounds I just played in a Pickleball tournament in my town and I won the tournament. I still have the twitching and I still have the tingling but not as bad as it was .some days it’s very mild for a hour or two, but it always comes roaring back in the morning when I wake up. on rare occasions. I can hardly tell. Sometimes this freedom lasts a half an hour up to two hours or so, that’s a good day . I was petrified when this happened to me, but I’m kind of used to it now and I’m sick of doctors. don’t seem to do much once you refuse to take the medication that they prescribed to you they don’t seem to want to have anything to do with you.
