Hello to all!!
I'm 81-years-young and at last count a recipient of 28 surgeries, including 13 low back, 1 cervical, 8 rotator cuffs, 1 reverse right shoulder, 2 lung, 1 finger, 1 toe and 1 nose, to name a few that I remember. Also, I have 37-degree scoliosis. My most recent surgery was October 2023, diagnosed with a cyst at the base of my spine. This surgery was the most painful due to all old metal had to be removed and replaced with new metal at L5 to L1 adding an additional fusion. Since my last surgery, I have had continued pain at levels between 8 and 10 in my low back and right leg. Pain Management" injections can provide good relief if the injection can be in the right "Sweet Spot". I recently had 3 injections, and all have failed. I'm supported by my WONDERFUL BRIDE of 53 years who has been my nurse since the beginning of 1975. I can't tolerate pain meds except in a hospital environment. Over the counter Aleve and others are no help. I have tried the electric spine stimulation treatment, the name escapes me, also failed. I'm constantly scanning the web for any new information reference to pain management that might get me back to "somewhat" normal life. At 81 years, I have a long life ahead of me!!!! Thanks for listening. @ cobia243!!

Wow cobia, jusy wow!

I've had both knees replaced, one hip - and on Aug 6th just past - me left shoulder (anatomical). I've also had bunions removed on the inside of my big toes, as well as fusion of the big toes.

I don't hold a candle to you.

But I am inspired by you and your story. Thanks so much!

Joe
