Dear gregorb,
I've had Long Covid for five years. Apart from other symptoms, I also feel best at night....the later it is, the better I feel. Am very often totally exhausted and weak until early evening improvement begins. I often wondered how (and have tried) I could change this strange situation, but to no avail. Because of other severe medical complications I attempt to do what I can, whenever I can for as long as I can. So much for once being my family's "Energizer Bunny!" The "energy" in my batteries is drained, and I feel like I'm functioning on "fumes." Daily household chores have become night time activities. Sorry for the lack of advice, but hope knowing others feeling the same way may be heartening. No matter how you feel, you are NOT alone!!! Modern medicine has no answers, and the millions of Long Covid survivors have more information than the doctors. Our lives have changed forever, sometimes we are our own best diagnosticians, we have mental strength we never knew existed, and have a wealth of information that should be entered into all medical journals and classrooms. Without doctors paying attention to our knowledge, experiences and ways of coping, the world will be less than successful in dealing with the next world-wide affliction. When all of us pass, so will a wealth of knowledge that only we could have provided. How sad that the powers-that-be do not pay attention and learn from us. WE could inform and help future generations, but our wealth of first hand experiences and information proves that "A man (or woman) is not appreciated in his/her time." Don't give up or give in...WE are better than that.
