I suffered for 5 years with a pain in my upper quadrant of the body. About the area that you have pain in. I ended up in the ER every month with severe pain in upper right abdomen. I was given morphine and I had a standing order in how to help me. I would scream in pain. I had every test possible in those 5 yrs, I mean every test. I would run a low grade fever for 5 years. My Dr at the time actually sat on the floor next to me and said he has no idea what is wrong. He really did care. Then decide on exploratory surgery to see if they can see it that way. I had a surgeon open me up from top to bottom, the told me he had everything out on the table looking for anything to cause such a pain. He found it. I had a leaky diverticulum and Crohn's. I had 12 inches of my colon removed a that time. I am not saying that is what you have but maybe? Where my pain was, had no relationship to where the problem was. That might be the same for you. They need to look else where. I was written up in a medical journal by my Dr because he never heard of anything like this.

Im so glad you had an excellent Dr.
I had a severe injury to my abdominal wall, which became very serious. Despite being bedridden for 6 yrs, loosing 30 lbs from 110 to 78, being massively bloated like 7 months pregnant no one would do exploratory. Pain was horrendous.
Around my 18th time in ER over 6 years I basically threatened to committ suicide, the only reason, I got laparoscopy was due sn enlarged appendix. My abdominal wall was indeed torn.
Those 6 years of neglect have had a domino effect on my health and I now have CRPS badly.
Im happy to know there are still some good Drs. Im in Fl. Healthcare here isn't the best. Be well !!
