Hi group members @diverdown1 @roch @surechamp @rubyslippers @wisfamily @hraka13 @linnie52 @mkwong @gingerw @hopeful33250, I'm tagging you in case you might be interested in this virtual opportunity on September 16 if you haven't already registered.
- Mayo invites you to a Virtual Learn & Share about Alcohol Misuse in Women https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/mayo-invites-you-to-a-virtual-learning-on-women-alcohol-misuse/

The project is called WomenWise. I believe that you have experiences and wisdom that the research team would benefit from. There are a couple of seats still available. Hope you can join us.

I registered. Thank you!

Thanks, Colleen. I'm registered.

I’m a little bothered that the lead is a young man. Is Dr. Sharma the moderator , as well?

Hello Colleen:

I understand this session is full and I'm so disappointed. I come from a family of alcoholics - parents on both sides, and two brothers are alcoholics. My father was a brilliant surgeon and in spite of his alcoholism, he was regarded as one of the top surgeons in our city and there is a plaque on a hospital wall with his name engraved.

I also have been struggling with A.U.D. for many years, but have been successful in moderating my drinking to 2-3 drinks a night. This is not good, as I have severe Crohn's Disease and a heart condition, so I should not be drinking at all. So if you plan another session, I would love to reserve a spot.
Many thanks,
