Had a plate and 8screws put in my wrist 2.5 months ago…

NSAIDs have spiked liver and kidney enzymes so that’s out.

Had reaction to hydrocodone in which everything was agony not relief.

Now I wake up 5-6 times a night in pain, breathe mindfully and sleep another hour or so.

Help! Any suggestions?

Trauma to small bones can be especially hard to heal, and having "foreign matter" - the plates and screws, can make it even worse. My daughter went through this after a really bad fracture - ice was her best friend for over 8 months - calmed the inflammation and numbed the area. She also worked with the hand surgeon and therapist to design and fine-tune a custom splint that
helped keep the are stable so the irritation was less.
Have you discussed options with the surgeon?

Have you tried CBD tincture? I use CBD with THC. There are different % of THC.
Maybe you could try the tincture with a small % of THC.
