Anyone taken Evenity (romosozumab) for Osteoporosis?
Has anyone taken Evenity? I understand it’s only been on the market for a little over a year. I’m hoping it will help with my severe osteoporosis. Any information is helpful.

I am on Evenity now (5th injection coming up at end of May). My Rheum recommended Prolia but I suggested Reclast. He agreed and will do this after Evenity. He said I would need 2 injections (a year apart) then a "holiday (one year I think) ". After that? don't know. I did not want Prolia for reasons mentioned on these forums. I have not had any problems or side effects with Evenity so I am just not worrying about the future. It is kind of vague but that's the way these drugs are. No clear path, depends on the individual response it seems and hard to chart a course in advance.

2 ReactionsI did 3 mo hrs of Evinity. Insomnia fatigue dizziness and back pain made it not possible to continue. It has been 2 months since my last only. Still feeling the same. Did anyone with similar symptoms feel better after 3 months?

My lack of sleep eas not due to evenity
However the best product for sleep in our household of 2 70+year olds are thc 9 gummies.
Thc 9 is legal in our state. If you have legal thc dispensaries in your state you could investigate those sleep products. We each take 1/2 of a gummy and in 10 min. We are nodding off. I can count on at least 6 hours of uninterrupted sleep. Hope this helps.

2 Reactions@anniefoley sorry to hear that! I finished my year of Evenity. I did not have insomnia; however, I have been taking 100 mg Magnesium glycinate with dinner. It seems that helps with sleeping at least 6 1/2 hours straight. However, I am not a doctor!
Hope you get some 💤 soon!

2 ReactionsI have been diagnosed with osteoporosis in my hips. My doctor wants me to start Evinity and after reading all the side effects I’m nervous about it. I have a stent in my widow maker and allergic to sulfa. I’m really trying to figure out what to do.

1 ReactionAnnie, I have same problem….I’ve been using Xanax to get to sleep & it seems to help a little….
I had the 7 th month of evenity shots last week. I do have insomnia. Also joint pain at night often. I’m taking one aleve pm that seems to help with both. I don’t take it every night, but seem to be taking it every other night. My dr suggested it so that I would also get joint pain relief.
The insomnia and joint pain are 2 of the side effects that are most common.
Now researching what to go on after finishing the 12 months of evenity. I know it is still 5 months away but want to have researched options.
Bone scan is in January to check progress. Dr would do it after 6 months of evenity, but Medicare says one year and 1 day.
@barbyb50 Do you happen to know what drug your doctor plans on prescribing after your year on Evenity? Thanks so much,
@susanjohnston I don’t have that info yet. I want to do research re reclast vs Prolia before the end of the 12 th month of shots.
I just know that one is required to lock in all the gains. Also won’t know about the gains until after the bone density test.
