Your story, in six words
Are you familiar with the Six Word Story?
“A six-word story is an entire story told in six words. It is a short narrative that can have all of the emotional themes of longer stories—from funny to dramatic, sad to scary. It can be poetic or straightforward.”
Legend has it that Ernest Hemingway was once challenged to write a story in only six words. Others gave their own spin into the six-word novel - a personal twist to describe a life in exactly six words, sometimes called these Six-Word Memoirs.

“While these quick stories don’t have the classic beginning, middle, and end of a traditional storyline, they have a subject and verb that give the reader a sense of what’s happened and a bit of conflict.”

Thank you .I'm sorry you did as well.
I was doing great till I reconnected w/ Mother a year ago. Father changed and became the best grandfather.
Mother is still the same nacisisstic verbally abusive sucks you in and spits you out lying conniving manipulator I've ever met . It seems everyone still sucks up to her and believes her and takes her sh--. I have to be the better person to break this horrible abusive cycle . It's so exhausting . She's 87 and will live forever.
I just needed to vent
last month I asked her if she loved me.... She said NO
I asked her if she ever loved me she said NO even louder
I asked her " not even when I was a little girl"
She said " I loved all my children , now go
forgot to mention that dad died 5 years ago
My mother called me on 3 separate occasions and told me I was no longer her child. She was disowning me and I was not to ever contact her again. Then months later she would call me crying and say that she didn’t know why she did it and ask me to forgive her - months later she would do it again. Like an idiot, I did forgive her the first 2 times. When she called to disown me the third time, I told her to be very sure that this was what she wanted to do, because if we ended the call with her still wanting this - she would get her wish and never talk to me again. She held her ground, and with the advice of my therapist, I refused to answer her calls. Sometimes we need to put our mental health first, and prevent others from hurting us. My mother was a sick person, but I didn’t have to let her make me one too.
You are all awesome, thank you!
My acceptance lead to freedom, finally!
