I have a stationary bike that allows me to sit straight up, arms at my sides with handles at my hips. It has a regular chair back for support. They call it a recumbent bike, but it doesn't lean back like some. It was months before I could use it. The exercise bike at PT allowed for less ROM, so I was a bit frustrated. Now I try to use it daily. I feel it helps cardio, leg strength and my back. If my back feels a bit stiff, I put a little extra wiggle in when the pedals go around!
