Kate, I have V-fib. So I understand the concerns. I had my electro cardiologist sign off on the procedure before I started and set a six month follow up exam. I am getting ready for my 9th injection. The bone markers are showing Evenity is working. I will have a dexa scan after the final injection.
Side effects have been mild. I find that I am really tired about three days after the injection [not for 3 day, but after 3 days]. This lasts about 24 hours but is not bad enough to interfer with daily living.
After seven injections in my arms, I switched to my stomach to give my arms a break. I was getting some slight irritation. I really prefer injections in my arms. I did have a minor rash at the injection sight when given in my stomach, but it was nominal.
Oh, and I felt that this was important. I have my injections at the infusion center of a major hospital. In that way, I am monitored for any immediate reactions.
I believe that staying busy helps.

Thanks for sharing these details. I found myself exhausted on Day 7, and have had 3 episodes of AFIB since my shot 2 weeks ago. We'll what next month brings!
