Hey!

My bad for just seeing this. At this point I've learned to live with it. I keep note on when my heachaches happen and where. My 1st neurologist kept canceling appointments on me so I switched doctors. I sometimes think people don't believe me because I "don't look sick" or I don't whine or go whoa it's me lol.

I also had to distance myself from people (and sadly that came from family and friends also) that keep telling me it was in my head throughout the years and come to non-judgmental communities like this.

I am so sorry to hear about your experience and I know how much it hurts as I’ve faced the same. I have a migraine pretty much everyday and can’t tell where one stops and the next begins as they overlap. My pain starts in my neck but orthopedics (especially Mayo) are the worse as they said walking through the door and hadn’t even looked up at me yet stated “you’re not bad, we see this with people who do t move enough”. He also told me there is no way my pain is coming from my neck then he said if I wanted to continue with Mayo’s assessment I need to be assessed for fibromyalgia and by psychology. When I said I’d Ben assessed and sis not have fibromyalgia, he kept saying “well Mayo didn’t assess you”. Mayo neurology actually did a physical assessment and noted my GON, C1 and C2 had nerve irritation and that my neck had hyper mobility and my occipitals and traps were incredibly tight. There are good doctors out there but unfortunately the majority of them ignore muscle impacts and diagnose based on what meds do and don’t work for you. Keep searching for a good doctor as a diagnosis will let family and friends know it is real. Folks that have not experienced that level of pain cannot understand without seeing something that indicates it’s real.
