I had my initial phone consult with Dr. Scionti and came away with the same opinion. He took his time to explain all my concerns with my HIFU procedure which he feels I am a candidate for (67 yrs. old 3+3 Gleason 6). He confirmed my research that he is the most qualified in the country at this procedure. I look forward to meeting Dr.Scionti and his team and getting this Cancer issue resolved once and for all.

My PSA went from 4 to 15 in one year and had a gleason score of 7. After multiple tests and biopsies, scans etc., I found out that not only did I have cancer, but it had metastasized in my lymph system. We are aggressively treating the cancer. My point is, that sometimes prostate cancer can become very active quickly. I would recommend doing what you think is best for you. If you can afford it, do additional testing and that way you can make the best decision. Too many people, including doctors, use anecdotal information, which is not science based facts.
