I’m sorry to hear you are going through this. Wow, you have a lot going on!
Can u describe “ a severe allergic reaction related to my sinuses “? I’m not sure what you mean.
Are your cyclical flu like symptoms around the time of your menstrual cycle?
Some simple things while you wait:
Have you tried saline irrigation, Simply saline or a neti pot? You can google for step by step instructions. It basically rinses out your sinuses and is very helpful for some people. A humidifier can keep your sinuses moist. Have you used Afrin, an OTC decongestant? It’s terribly addictive and leads to chronic nasal congestion.
You could google anti inflammatory diet as a lot of what you’re describing, though non-specific, certainly sounds like you have inflammation somewhere
Are you planning on having a CT of your sinuses? It could be you had a bacterial sinusitis that was either only partially treated or recurred. Do you have a history of nasal congestion, seasonal or dust mite allergies?
I would recommend checking your temperature when you have flu like symptoms, and recording for the doctor
Does anyone in your family have autoimmune diseases? Do you have asthma or a cough?
Have u traveled outside the country? A little outside the box, I know, but maleria and a few other infections can cause fever approximately every 3 days
A simple blood test called a sed rate or ESR will help determine the level of inflammation though it won’t directly diagnose you.
Do u think the back pain is related to all your other symptoms or just happened to occur at the same time?
Try to stay hydrated. Aim for 8 glasses of water every day.
If the ENT and primary care doctor don’t resolve your issues, consider a rheumatologist.
Sorry I can’t be more of a help
I was away for four months and returned to the USA in May. In June mid-month, during high pollen season, I got down with weird sinus stuff.
My fever is never there. I checked the temperature. It’s always normal.
At this moment, my sinus feels good. I don’t have flu-like symptoms, but my upper back aches, and bad headaches are present. They’re more like heaviness and tension headaches. This month, my periods are exacerbating the situation, while last month, it was my body aches. Rotating each month.
Doing every possible thing at home.
- My family has no history of autoimmune disease.
- regarding allergies, I have severe dust allergy. 10 years ago I was taken to ER because I couldn’t breathe. But I was in another country. Took me 2 months to recover that time.
Insurance will be available on November. Sigh.
