Stop telling people to get a stimulator! I've heard so many more people complain about how much worse it made their back and that they would get electric shocks out of nowhere because of the way they moved. I've also heard a lot of people say that once they got it and planted it was hard for them to find a doctor that would take it out

I had a spinal cord stimulator placed in 2016. Didn’t help my pain at all. In 2017 I had it removed by the same doctor who placed it.
I have severe spinal degeneration and scoliosis and recently diagnosed with osteomyelitis for which I’m being treated for. The pain is actually improving thankfully.

I had a SCS and am now in terrible pain and have nerve damage. Im couch bound predominantly and struggle to eat. I had bad complications. PLS consider carefully before accepting these devices. My friend did well, so I eventually relented...its ruined my life.

It's definitely not for everyone. What's good for you may not be a good fit for someone else. I myself speak from experience. I had a stimulator trial and even met with a nurse from Boston Scientific. I had my pain doc take it out within the trial period. I've done all the things except pain rehabilitation which Cleveland Clinic referred me. I've done lifestyle changes over the past 15 years. Had a surgery and will need to revisit; Really that's my only option unless a new technique comes about.
