Get a second opinion. Sounds like you herniated a disc. IF it is within 6 weeks you need to wait 6 - 8 weeks for healing post-fall. I concur with @gently 100% It could just be out of place and needs healing time too. When I experienced something like that I would take ibuprofen for 3 days around the clock with food. You should feel improved by then, and then you will know it just needs time to heal. If you don't go in and get an order for an MRI. Where she says: "If it is a bulging disc, it could be pressing against the spinal cord. Bending forward creates more space behind the bulge and relieves the pressure." I've had many of these! Don't do anything (like try to fix yourself) exercise for a couple of weeks. Don't hesitate to go back. Sounds initially like you have an impinged nerve, and the disc is sitting on it. good luck.

It should have said "don't" exercise for a couple of weeks. See if it will mend. Don't avoid getting more tests either! Use your intuition to guide you.
