I don't know if this will help you. I've discovered a combination of accupuncture and lazar really really helps. I'm almost pain free for three weeks since the last treatment. I had the operation for spinal stenosis. I'm still taking a combination of Tramadol and acetominophin. But this is because I tried going off it and it wasn't a good idea. I'm down to three pills from 4. Who knows, I might be able to go off it in the future. Best of luck.
Shot did not help me either and in fact made me sicker for a few days.
I think you need a new consultation with a neurosurgeon, and perhaps a visit to a reputable pain management doctor? No one can guarantee that a fusion will remove the pain. My doctor told me to wait until I couldn’t stand the pain, when I first visited years ago. I’m not sure that was good advice. If I had gone earlier, and then been able to stay more active- I might be in better health today. As it was, I became less and less active, and hurt my chances at recovery.
All the best to you, in your search for pain relief. Get it taken care of sooner rather than later!
justbec2004, I wasn't thinking of the epidural, but a facet block. Sorry the chiropractor is a bust, remember that they come in as broad a range of skills as the doctors do. I would find another chiropractor. But you may be exhausted with all this. It is exhausting.
Are there positions where the foot doesn't hurt?
