Unfortunately, I have found that my oncologist has been very remiss in not reviewing potential side effects with me of chemo treatment. I guess I was supposed to know enough to ask. He really did not give much advice on dealing with the expected Neuropathy either during or after chemo ends. As far as radiation goes, I wonder if they feel there is no alternative treatment so the choice is treatment or a shorter life span. I have come to the conclusion that you have to do your own research. I refused Keytruda maintenance immunotherapy as my tumor lacks the genetic markers on which it has proven to be effective. At some point quality of life becomes very important.

Yes, ever learning, I was just upset cause I very much pressed about effects with my doctor. No long term mentioned at all. Just during said side effects usually go away 2-3 mos post radiation.
