hi mmagner46, its true that risedronate is not as often used or spoken of on this site. Risedronate is the generic for Actonel and Atelvia. Ridedronate has less affinity for the bone than alendronate (Fosamax) or zoledronate (Reclast, Zometa). zoledronate > alendronate > ibandronate = risedronate > etidronate
