I’m surprised that you only had to take 5 days of antibiotics. For me it’s usually 10 and if that doesn’t work they switch me to an alternate and/or order another CT just in case. Also you keep mentioning liquids. I hope you mean just CLEAR liquids, as awful as they are. Don’t fool yourself that a little cream soup won’t hurt. It might.

When I wrote that post it was 5 days after I finished the full 10-day course of antibiotics as prescribed by my doctor. And yes, I started out on clear liquids. Back when I had my first flare my doctor had given me full instructions on the diet, and this was my 3rd flare-up so none of it was new to me. I was just concerned that I started having some trouble again so soon after finishing the prescribed antibiotics and thinking I was on the road to (slowly) getting better. Thankfully I am much better now. Still being cautious but have incorporated more fiber, which feels more normal and allows for more nutritious variety.
